Media Clip

The Author in this clip was strong in his points and described the impact that the media can have on people in America. He claimed that young people were ignorant to the ways of Che, and wore his t-shirts due to the publicity that he was receiving. Becks style and voice spoke in a sarcastic tone, as he wanted to portray a sense of stupidly on everyone else. The author proclaimed that Che, despite what many had thought, was an anti-hero, who was responsible for thousands of deaths. Becks point through the entire clip, was one point, that Hollywood, and the people who took the influence unknowing, were ignorant, and refused to be informed about the truth.

  1. To me, this clip was very biased to one side of the argument. I agree that the news anchor in the clip was very strong on his point of view and had a firm stand on what he believed. However, as a news anchor, I do not thing that is appropriate since the audience would want unbiased or neutral facts rather than biased opinion based on preference.

  2. yeah i agree, i think the news should have done a better job of being neutral on the issue. they simply wished to sway people. But i think it actually just made the people want to research the topic more.

  3. Yeah, that makes sense. He just wants people to see his side of the issue, maybe because Hollywood is "biased" the other way. I think that he should educate people about it with facts, but I think the way that he portrayed it grabbed the listeners attention.
Hollywood probably does know some things, they just want to make money so they don't care and or pretend not to know.
