Preview the book

- The front cover of this book is eye-catching. The fact that it is black, white, gives it an essence of history. The man on the front has a sad look of determination and triumph. The author’s name I remember from yesterday, and am glad that we get to study the history and background of someone who, I have yet to learn, or really know about. I wonder what significance the motorcycle has in the story, or his life. I also wonder how his life has caused so much discussion, and two-sided arguments.
- The back cover provides a little more background information. We, the reader, get a better understanding of why motorcycles are in the title. In the quote, he mentions bikes, and his ride northward. Perhaps escaping something, or going to accomplish something. We also know that the story is a diary, or first person.
- Inside the book there are chapter titles, they are written and translated, maps, drawing, pictures, timelines, and more. These things all give the impression of history. When reading, it gives a historic tone.
- I think this book will be interesting to read. I look forward to learning about the life, and history within this book. It feels more like a historic reference, and unlike the other books, I feel like this one might offer a moral, or life lesson in the end.
