3. "There is nothing lonelier than adventure."(22)
This quote stood out to me because it is against common thought that adventure is lonely. To me, adventure has always been portrayed as fun, exciting, and everything but lonely. However, after reading this quote I thought about the idea that; one who embarks on adventure leaves all else behind to pursue a dream or ambition. One often leaves the comfort of the familiar to pursue something greater, and this, I believe can be very lonely.
